Hello and welcome. I provide therapy for people who want to get to know themselves deeply and improve their relationships. If you’re someone who lives with a lot of loneliness and emptiness, and if you want to feel more alive and at ease just being yourself with others, we may be a good fit. I also specialize in working with adult adoptees and others affected by adoption. Take a look around to learn more.
Brooke Robb, MA, LPC
Individual therapy for emotional and relational well-being
The concerns my clients work on in therapy profoundly affect how they relate to others. Anxiety, depression, and struggles in current relationships often can be traced back to repeated misattunement or other trauma experienced early in life, within the original family. Here are some themes that come up frequently during sessions, both as individual and as relational concerns:
Desire for more satisfying relationships
Loss and grief, in all its forms
Barriers to self-acceptance
Loneliness, aloneness, or alienation
Connection with self and others
Spirituality
Self-discovery and authenticity
Mind-body connection (and disconnection)
Anger
Somatic symptoms
Sexuality
Body image
Self-worth
If you’re curious about working together but aren’t sure whether I can help with your specific concerns, I encourage you to contact me so we can talk more about it. If we aren’t a good fit, I may be able to provide you with a referral to another therapist.
I offer a 30-minute phone consultation to help you get a sense for what it’s like to talk with me and whether I might be a good fit as your therapist.
